About this Course

This course has been designed to teach the knowledge required to make the move from a nursery practitioner to a management role within an early years setting. The course is tailored to teach the skills required to successfully manage a team of individuals working within the childcare sector.

Certification

To complete this Nursery Management Level 4 course you will need to submit, and pass, all of the tutor marked assignments. There are five assignments in the course and no need to purchase any textbooks as we provide all of the lessons and materials required to learn the syllabus. All assignments are coursework based and are in an essay/question and answer style to test your knowledge of the topics covered in each of the course sections.

• Procedures to follow in cases of child abuse
• Caring for children who have suffered abuse

Unit 4: The Early Years Foundation Stage

This unit will teach you to:

• The importance of play in the EYFS
• Areas of learning and development
• Effective planning

Unit 5: Observation, Assessments and Planning

This unit will teach you to:

• Support staff in carrying out effective observations
• Complete summative assessments
• Support staff in effective planning
• Complete transitions to school
• Source third party support

Unit 6: Human Resources and Effective Marketing

This unit will teach you to:

• Understand the importance of staffing
• Consider any legal implications
• Comply with employer’s obligations
• Have an effective employment relationship with staff
• Know where to advertise
• Understand how to market the business
• Monitor effectiveness of advertising

This course can be taken over a 12 month period but you can complete it as fast or as slowly as you wish.

Assessments

To pass this course learners must pass 6 assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Enrolment Length
