To complete this Health and Social Care Level 3 course you will need to submit, and pass, all of the tutor marked assignments. There are six assignments in the course and no need to purchase any textbooks as we provide all of the lessons and materials required to learn the syllabus. This course assesses the following units:

Unit 1: Communication and personal development

This unit covers communication within the Health and Social Care sector.

You will learn about methods of communication, barriers to communication, effective communication and the impact it has on the service user.

Unit 2: Equality and Inclusion

This unit is about equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will learn about the importance of keeping up to date with legislation based on Equal Opportunities.

Unit 3: Safeguarding and Protection

This unit is about the principles of safeguarding and protection in the health and social care sector.

You will learn about different types of abuse, how to identify abuse and how to act on abuse in a safe and appropriate manner.

Unit 4: Duty of Care

This unit includes an introduction to duty of care in health, social care or children’s and young people’s settings and issues which may arise in the duty of care and an individual’s rights in these circumstances.

Unit 5: The Role of the Social Worker

It is vital that you understand the role of the social care worker so you will learn about types of relationships with others and how to effectively and efficiently assess each individual’s needs.

Unit 6: Health, Safety and Information Handling

In this unit you will learn about legislation relating to Health and Safety, accident and illness, moving and handling procedures and administrating medication and record keeping.

This course can be taken over a 12 month period but you can complete it as fast or as slowly as you wish.

Assessments

To pass this course learners must pass 6 assignments. These are completed after navigating through the corresponding lessons and writing your answers to assignment questions. Enrolment Length
