About this Course

Choosing to study our Common Health Conditions Level 2 course can provide you with a solid foundation of knowledge of a range of different health conditions you may encounter whilst assisting your patients. By learning how to monitor, carry out observations and record/report your findings; not only can you ensure that your patients benefit from a better quality of life – as you’ll be able to quickly ascertain and implement a plan of action based on their individual needs – you’ll also have a more thorough understanding of their condition (and what they are going through). This learning programme is a knowledge-based qualification that aims to strengthen and expand your existing knowledge of health and social care. At the same time, the skills you’ll acquire will enable you to function more efficiently within this career field, so you’ll always supply a high standard of quality care.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be awarded a NCFE/CACHE certificate of achievement. All certification fees are included within the course fee.

Qualification

To gain this Level 2 qualification in Common Health Conditions, you will need to submit a written portfolio of evidence containing all completed activities from each unit. With 6 assignments to complete (1 task per unit), each written task comes in the form of an essay question and is designed to test your knowledge and understanding of the syllabus. These will be assessed by your tutor whereupon they will mark, feedback and sign off each completed unit. Please Note: There is no need to purchase any textbooks, as all will be provided alongside your lessons, course materials and comprehensive study guides.

Understand how to contribute to monitoring the health of individuals affected by health conditions (2 credits)

Unit 2

Introductory awareness of sensory loss (2 credits)

Unit 3

Stroke awareness (3 credits)

Unit 4

Arthritis awareness (3 credits)

Unit 5

Dementia awareness (2 credits)

Unit 6

Parkinson’s disease awareness (3 credits)

This course can be completed over a 12 month period; however thanks to the structure of our courses you can study on your own terms.
